Going out tonight

Well, it’s Saturday night and a beautiful one at that. We have plans to go out to dinner with friends who don’t live in our condo, but have a house in Delray Beach. We see them in Connecticut.
We’re going to meet them at the restaurant we’ve been to before. It’s pretty much open and is on the water. I’m showered and have already prepared my clothes, purse, and shoes. So now I have to leave you to put on my makeup, and finish getting ready.
We have what should be a twenty minute drive, but the traffic is bizarre here, so we always leave early. Better early than late.
Do you plan what to wear before going out?

We don't go to fancy places to eat. I just wear jeans, a nice(r) shirt and tennis shoes. If they need a coat or something like that, we find another place to go.
Your son still has snow on his roof? That makes me feel cold just seeing the photo!
It was chilly here today and the cold wind didn't help. I'm glad I only stepped outside long enough to get the mail and bring it inside.

@DianneN I've hardly been going outside unless Pretty will come outside with me. She's scared I'll fall and get hurt if I wander around outside by myself.

Most men don’t plan their outfits in advance, although my husband has been busy planning his attire for a wedding we are going to next month.
A well insulated roof should have some snow on it, but that’s CT weather for you.
Hope your weather improves as the month warms up. We had some wind gusts yesterday morning, but they calmed down by early afternoon, thank goodness.

@DaddyEvil Nice! You’re gonna love that 76, but wear short sleeves and remember, it’s always warmer in the sun.

@DianneN I think you should take it as a "It depends."

When it's a special event that has been planned for quite awhile, I do. But on regular dinners outside, I normally don't.
My closet is organized enough to easily pick what to wear for dining, parties, work, etc.

I normally wear casual clothes when my relatives and myself go out to eat in restaurants.

I usually plan the night before even. I think hawks are such interesting birds. I hope you enjoy your dinner with friends.

I hope you had good food, good company, and a nice time out. When I used to go out I spent practically half a day figuring out what I was going to wear,

Nice hawk picture. I hope you had a wonderful time. The places I go don't require me to dress up. I'm happy in jeans and a top.

My son feeds birds year round with birdseed from his feeders. The little squirrels eat whatever falls to the ground. I think that hawk was hungry, too. It’s been a long, cold winter.
Don’t laugh, but I lay out my workout clothes, gardening clothes, and even match up my pjs or nightgowns with robes and slippers.

At first,I thought of the red tailed hawk in the photo as a pottery figure of a grotesque animal placed at either side of a roof ridge as an ornament -like the traditional architecture here .
