Loud little bird

Loud little bird

I was finally close enough to get this video of this loud little bird but it was on the other side of my screened porch so the image and video aren't as clear as I would like. These loud little birds dart around in weeds and bushes hunting for food, I'm guessing both insects and seeds. Does anyone know what kind of bird this could be?

That sparrow or finch is quite loud! I’m sure it caught Tuff’s attention.

@rebelann I know that sound extremely well! We used to call it cackling when Doodles the cat did it. Funny, he only did it when he saw birds.

It sounds like there is some problem for sure. It looks like a wren. The markings on the back look wrenish.

I'm betting you're right, they are the most common of birds

A few lotters have mentioned sparrows and since those are the most common birds it probably is.

It probably is, I saw a couple videos of sparrows and wrens so from the sound of this fella it could be either.

Possibly a brown thrasher,,,they are native to your area I think..but not sure..I couldn't see the back to see if it had similar tail feathers.

I couldn't get a really clear video due to the screen door. Thanks for the idea, I'll check it out.

I don't know, but Nico would have been into it. As a matter of fact he ran out from the bedroom when he heard the video.
