That is a picture of a similar possum I found online, but the one that came on my porch was about as big. I was heading for the bathroom and looked through the window of my front door. This sad little possum was sitting there wondering where his next meal was coming from. Enjoy heating up frozen buttermilk pancakes from Walmart and sometimes even eat them topped with a pork sausage patty. I had one pancake left over, so I took it from the fridge and opened up the door. This cute possum stood with his two paws on my threshold blinking up at me. I bent down with the pancake, and he took it in his mouth and walked away. I was so touched that he was not scared of me.

@AmbiePam it was the possum, such a cutie, that took the pancake very delicately from me, Funny to see it run away with the pancake in its mouth.

That would be very touching indeed. I wonder if he'll be back tomorrow.

Oh my gosh I am shocked he would take that from you and eat it. That had to be the cutest thing to witness. It would have made my day!

I guess he came to the right door. Friend had a possum in his trash can one time.

I hope he doesn't remember you and come back for handouts very often. They can be a nuisance at times.

The 1st time I ever seen a possum was when I was going outside &
opened the door to my porch there was 1 sitting there & it wasn't no
baby either, it scared the living daylights out of me & I screamed &
ran back in the house & shut the door & was in for the day.
