My daughter just told me there is a tornado watch in our area. What?! We don't have tornados in Idaho. So, I looked it up. A tornado is a wind of 65 mph or more. That's where will be broken tree limbs and such. Well, that's a lot of wind there. I think perhaps out in the farmlands and such it might get that bad. And, we do have a lot of farmlands here in Idaho. Potato growers and all ya know.

It's been so windy in my part of the state the last couple days...but never thought of this state having tornadoes

I thought a tornado is a twister and not just a strong wind. A strong wind like that for us here is a typhoon.

You can also have straight-line winds that fast, too. We have those here once in a while. Tornados are much more common.

I hope you all stay safe. The weather is so changeable lately and doesn't always act the way it should.

I have seen a tornado ( twister) in Scotland just once in my life and it wasn't huge or anything
We often do get winds a lot stronger than 65mph though that dona lot of damage
We also live in a potato growing area
