Tornado in Idaho?

My daughter just told me there is a tornado watch in our area. What?! We don't have tornados in Idaho. So, I looked it up. A tornado is a wind of 65 mph or more. That's where will be broken tree limbs and such. Well, that's a lot of wind there. I think perhaps out in the farmlands and such it might get that bad. And, we do have a lot of farmlands here in Idaho. Potato growers and all ya know.

We have wind but I've never experienced it at such a rate. I've heard them hapening in Nampa and Caldwell which are nearby but not here.

I thought a tornado is a twister and not just a strong wind. A strong wind like that for us here is a typhoon.

You can also have straight-line winds that fast, too. We have those here once in a while. Tornados are much more common.

I would hear scary stories from my bestie about them in Oklahoma but never thought they'd be around here.

@celticeagle I can easily believe that. Would you be interested in seeing what will remain of civilization in 100,000 years? This is another channel I follow. The guy is very believable and what he says are the same sentiments as other scientists are saying.

I have seen a tornado ( twister) in Scotland just once in my life and it wasn't huge or anything We often do get winds a lot stronger than 65mph though that do a lot of damage We also live in a potato growing area

I hope you all stay safe. The weather is so changeable lately and doesn't always act the way it should.
