Big, big hail with these storms and tornadoes.

There was a tornado earlier, as @FourWalls mentioned in a post, it was south of Chicago but a bit north of me, in Kankakee, IL. The footage I have seen of the damage isn't pretty, it's sad and disheartening. One of our meteorologists was in our Storm Tracker and near the point where it hit. This picture is showing him holding two baseball plus sized hail stones. I would have hated to be in that storm, those poor people!

Amber lost a car to hail a few years ago, too. I am so, so lucky to have a garage for mine. A friend down the street lost her windshield to our hailstorm of 2 weeks ago.

Wow, that’s some monster hail.
I saw some of the footage from Kankakee, and it’s awful.
There were tornado warnings where Amber lives, but the thing about that is they’re “used to them” so they had a helicopter in the air and three or four storm chasers on it. I didn’t see any of that in the Chicago coverage.

I am sure hailstones that size do some damage. Can you imagine driving in it? It would probably be frightening as heck.

What a hail stone. Yes, those poor people. These spring storms can be brutal.

Those are really huge. I feel sorry for those hit by the storm.

That hail looks lethal. Those are certainly big. What a mess they would make of a car.

Whoa! Those hailstones would cause a huge amount of damage and could kill someone.
