Hi everyone, I haven't been active here lately, my life has been very busy but everything is fine with me. Hope everyone is well here.
My father is having cataract surgery today. I took him to the hospital first thing this morning, and I'll pick him up later. I think he should be ready by mid-afternoon. He was a little nervous, but I believe everything will be fine. I think it's a simple surgery.
Has anyone had cataract surgery?
It's cold today; it's the coldest day of the week. According to the weather forecast, we'll have spring-like temperatures next week. I hope they are right, I am tired of this cold.
How are you all doing?
Picture I took this morning on my garden. As you can see the weather is awful.

It looks like spring there! I'm always happy to see you when you have time to come to myLot.
I hope your dad's surgery goes well and he has no complications. (I have the beginning of cataracts but it's not bad enough for surgery yet.)
I have been falling lately and twice hit my head. Pretty made me go to the ER the second time to make sure I hadn't damaged anything. At the ER, they did a x-ray of my head and found I have developed hydrocephalus (water on the brain). I have an MRI scheduled for the end of this month and an appointment with a brain specialist in September unless they can work me in earlier than that. I'm sure everything is fine.
Otherwise, Pretty and I are both fine.

@nela13 You're very welcome. I'm sure he's very happy being able to see well again.
The doctors think the extra fluid in my head is pressing on the visual part of my brain making me feel dizzy. Yes, the procedure to take some of the fluid sounds painful... I'm not looking forward to that. Thank you.

@DaddyEvil He isn't totally well, it seems he had something more on his eye, at first they thought it was only the cataract. He is going to have another appointment next month and I will go with him.

Thank you, it is nice to be here.
Everything went well and he is recovering now with lots of drops to put on his eye.
Did they tell you the reason? Why have you developed hydrocephalus? I am so sorry that you have fallen, perhaps the reason you fell is the hydrocephalus...

I haven't seen you in awhile since I was also missing for almost two years. Glad to se your name pop up again.
Never had cataract surgery but I am aware it isn't a serous one. It's an out patient surgery, meaning the patient can get out of the hospital within the day. Which means a minor one.

Your flowers look lovely.
I will say a special prayer that your Dad has an easy time with the surgery, sometimes our nerves can be the worst.
I remember the time after my mother's cataract surgery were busier than the actual day of it.
She had to have someone there to help her with many things, and to help with the eye drops.
As well, it was a very emotional time, as she had it done within a month of my Dad's passing.

Welcome back!!! Your garden is still beautiful despite the weather.
I had cataract surgery the day Russia invaded Ukraine. I was extremely nervous, but it was so simple and easy. I opted for laser surgery and had the other eye done two weeks later. I’m sure your father will find it as easy as I did. Best of luck to him.
