This morning @GardenGerty mentioned the wind in Kansas, and let me tell you, it’s doing a number in Oklahoma. My dad’s house lost power because the wind took down his power lines. Thankfully, I still have power, but I am getting alerts on my phone to avoid certain streets due to the power lines falling over the roads. Not that I’m going anywhere.
Is the wind whipping you guys around?

It's doing a # here as well 50-60 mph winds, this is the type
of weather we have no business being outside in.

@snowy22315 I really don’t know. They said the wind speeds would be excessive, but I don’t know that they expected this.

We haven't gotten it too badly, here lately, but sometimes it's pretty crazy. It's hilly enough to break up most tornadoes, but we occasionally get them (I'm in the PIedmont area of NC, about equal distance between the mountains and the beach. What we have to worry about more are hurricanes :/

It took out some more of that other cedar tree, but no power lines. I hope you continue to be connected and your dad gets his power back soon.

From the parking lot going to the church, I was shielding myself from the heat of the sun with my umbrella but the wind almost knocked it off. Btu the wind wasn't strong enough to be destructive though.

Yes, it certainly was... I didn't enjoy listening to garbage cans tumbling down the street. One of the neighbors brought ours back this time. It's parked up against the front porch now so the wind can't take it again.

Stay safe. Hope all goes well and normalcy is restored soon..We too had power cut for few hours today as they were moving power lines for the new metro station coming near our place. We didn't realize it as we have a power back up in our apartment.
