We visited the farm shop yesturday, and it got me thinking about veggies….
My favourite is sprouts …..it’s not a popular choice I know, but it’s my number one.
I like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beetroot, swede and most others too.
I don’t like cooked carrots, but I do like raw carrots .
However, sprouts remain my most favourite ….
What is your favourite veggie, ?
How do you like it cooked ?

Mine would be carrots and radish. I eat them raw too. Carrots are tastier when raw. What is swede?

Swede is a root vegetable ….popular in Autumn months …you peel it and boil it, you can have it in pieces or mashed, like potatoes. Very often it is eaten with beef.

@Iam_jauntyjen it is really nice ….well I like it anyway …..sometimes it’s mixed with mashed potatoes as a topping for cottage pie……meat and veggies in gravy topped with mashed potatoes ….

Oooohhh yes, I love onions . The Mister, however, as I’ve posted plenty of times, as it drives me nutty ….does like the flavour of onions, but not the texture of them. So whenever I cook something with onions in it I have to use onion powder or onion granules.

@AmbiePam you’re telling me ….he doesn’t eat peppers , courgettes , aubergine, tomatoes ( except tinned )….it makes stews, casseroles tricky, there’s very little left to put in ….

I don't have a favorite and I rarely eat one. I do eat vegetable salad which means I like mine raw.

@traceyjayne Cauliflower for me, roasted with bay leaves to mitigate the whiff then served up in a blue cheese white sauce.
