I know, I know. It’s a weird post. But when I asked in a previous discussion what you are picky about, @Deepizzaguy responded that he’s picky about his mashed potatoes. That rang a childhood bell, and I thought about when my sister and I were kids. When my mom would make mashed potatoes my sister always asked her to keep lumps in them. Whereas, I hated lumps, and preferred them all creamy and smooth. If we were lucky to get gravy with them I liked white gravy OR brown gravy, but my sister only liked white gravy.
How do you prefer yours? Are you a mashed potatoes person at all?

I am like you with having it smooth...and not made with the potato skin still on the potatoes either lol.
Brown gravy always!

@MommyOfEli2013 Do you ever just order the potato skins? You know, where they take potato skins, put a little mashed on them with cheese, chives, bacon, and sometimes sour cream?
I just made myself hungry.

I prefer mine smooth. Mashed potatoes isn't a staple food here and we have them sometimes as a snack. Mostly coming from restaurants or fast food chains. Except when we visit a steak restaurant, then it's part of a meal.

I love mashed potatoes but we don't make them from scratch anymore. Somehow, when we moved this last time our mixer disappeared so I just buy the packets of mashed potato flakes and make them like that. I do prefer them smooth, without lumps in them.
