Has anyone stolen from you before

March 18, 2026 9:43am CST
Thanks to @Shiva49 for reminding me of something quite important When someone steals from another person, what ever is stolen, it means that there is a victim of a crime Someone has been violated, Omg I had not considered that when I stole stuff. So anyway, Let's just cut to the chase Has anyone ever stolen anything from you before?

Yes, our apartment in Milan was burgled a few months after we were married. They stole many things. Years ago I was attacked and my purse stolen. Also our Mercedes was stolen in Milan. We do not go to Milan anymore!

@Ineeddentures the only person I’d loan money to is my mom.

@lovebuglena That sounds fair enough. I wouldn't give my mother the steam off of my urine

Yes and it was a kid. A distant relatives son. Me and my siblings love kids and we love to have them around our house. I was a university student back then and was home for the weekend. These kids were allowed to be in our rooms to play and while I was taking a nap, he took money from my bag. It was my whole week savings from my allowance. I found out it was him coz right after I discovered my money wasn't there anymore, I heard he brought home lots of new toys.

@Ineeddentures Oh yes they were. And I wasn't the only one he stole money from. He stole from someone a much larger amount and his mom returned the money.

Surely his parents would have been curious as to how he managed to bring home lots of new toys

A couple of times. My parents’ housekeeper stole meat from our freezer and a watch. The detective questioned me! I never even knew my father had a gold watch. Once, after a trip to Paris, I came home with delicious chocolates in a beautiful tin from Maxim’s. I never opened the tin, but when I did, I knew that one of our extra chubby housekeepers had been helping herself week by week. I fired all 5 of them at once, because no one would admit who did it. The tin was light and empty

@Ineeddentures I found a pen that was lying on the floor. It was his pen, his most favourite one. He would always keep in his pocket. Obviously he came there and stolen my books.

@Ineeddentures Oh, I do remember one thing...someone stole a piece of my art. Digitally, but still...they took it and uploaded it somewhere and didn't ask or give me credit.

Haven't you said you stole someone's heart and it was the best thing you did? Seriously, stealing isn't ever a good thing. I'd be lying if I said I never stole anything. I was a kid, but yes, I knew better.

I don't think I did steal Yvonne's Heart She gave me it. I think we were all kids, and if we were all honest, we would all most.likely.recognise that we knew better I did

That's enough isn't it? Would t have thought Vienna would have been a hotspot for wallet lifting to be honest But one lives and learns

Thanks Jimbo, I almost became a victim of pickpocketing at Paris Metro station. As motioned earlier, I escaped by the skin of my teeth. If I had become a victim, my trip to Europe would have been in shambles!

These people who commit these acts have no thought at all for them people they are inflicting pain on. I think pick pockets are everywhere. I am quite lucky that I have never been victim of someone trying to steal from my person

Unfortunately i have experienced this several times. There was one in particular that i was pretty sure of the person who stole it cause he was the only one aware of where i kept it, infact he was the one who even gave me the idea in the first place, but i just couldn't prove it, so i had to let go of the issue.

Being sure just isn't enough without having proof.
