Going to Miami

Saturday morning hubs will be driving my brother, my sister-in-law, and of course me, to Miami to see our nephew and Viktoria.
We will see his beautiful high rise overlooking the ocean, have nibbles, and go out for a late lunch within walking distance. We will see the Japanese street food festival, too. None of us like eating street food, but it should be fun. And Viktoria and I will discuss our love of fashion and beauty. Hope she gives me with some good tips
It will be our last time seeing Viktoria most likely. She leaves for Germany on April 3rd, the same day my older sister-in-law leaves for New York. My brother’s wife leaves for Connecticut on Tuesday. So the season is beginning to wind down. We return to Connecticut April 30th.
Wishing everyone a happy Friday (guess what I’m drinking) and a beautiful spring or fall depending on where you are living!

Thank you! I love Florida when Connecticut winters are cold and dreary, but I can’t wait to return to Connecticut to see my kids, friends, garden, and be in our big, comfortable house once again. Even love the friends in our neighborhood except you know who.

@DianneN I'm living with my parents, who both are over 80, and my wife. Don't have any children now. By November expect to become a father.

I can't imagine YOU needing any beauty tips!
I do hope you all have a great time with your family. (I wouldn't eat street food, either.)
Thank you. My part of Missouri seems to be under a "heat dome" again like it was last year. Thankfully, it will only last the weekend before returning to "normal" temps for us.

Uhm.... something you should know about me. I won't lie... I might sugarcoat things but the closest I'll come to lying to somebody is by saying they look "okay" when I really mean they're homely as heck.
IF I'm talking to several people at the same time, I'll say something like "you all look good" when some of them are really iffy to me.
Since I'm ONLY talking to you, you can believe what I'm saying.
Exactly! If I can't see the kitchen and cooking utensils on request, or through a window, I don't eat the food! I still wear a mask if I leave my house, for goodness sake! We have even asked family to sit out on the front porch and we'll go out there to talk with them. (still wearing a mask, mind you.)
Yes, it's too hot for early spring. (The government pays most of our heating and cooling bills, so that's okay. I'm over 60 so get help with my bills.)
You're always welcome.

Ahahahaaa and thank you! It’s always good to keep on top of the latest updates. Gorgeous Viktoria actually thinks I’m the beautiful one! It proves that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
No street food was touched, and I am glad you feel the same way. Thank you! We had such a wonderful time together.
The weather has really been bipolar this year. Did you reach the 90s as soon as many others have?

I have a low self image, DE and although I receive plenty of compliments, I don’t believe any of them, even from my own family. I admit that I am very vain, and always try to look my best, but I certainly don’t consider myself beautiful. However, I know that I am not homely. My husband tells me I should be in a mental hospital
I, like you, feel the exact same way as you. Street food seems very unhygienic to me. I don’t know who made them, how they were cooked and stored, nor how clean their kitchen and utensils were. Who even knows if they coughed, sneezed, or dripped sweat into the food? I’m a germaphobe, on top of everything else and sick of people telling me that germs are good and will build up an intolerance against them. No thank you.
That’s really hot summer weather you’re having and too soon to be running the A/C. However, if it’s hot, you run it, just as if it’s cold, you run the heat. No need to suffer except in the wallet, especially these days. Enjoy Monday weather! It sounds refreshing to me. And many thanks!

@Marilynda1225 It’s amazing how many people have moved to Miami. My nephew still keeps a 3 bedroom place in Manhattan and rents out two bedrooms to women. He made a move to Miami several years after we did for business and to be closer to his family when we’re all here.
Thank you! There’s no better husband than mine who caters to me

I’m looking forward to being in Miami again. It has a great vibe if you know what I mean. The time in FL has flown by, but both of us can’t wait to return to Connecticut. It should be warmer, green, and blooming!
Thank you! Hubs made dinner again for me and cleaned up as usual.
