I hope I do not regret it

We are having highs of 90 F and above. I know it is not permanent. It is still about three weeks until our average last date of frost. I am moving my houseplants outdoors anyway. If I need to cover them some nights, I certainly will do so. Happy Spring to everyone.

It's really getting warm where you are. We usually start planting and all that by May around here.

Mid march is supposed to be ideal for potatoes, onions, and peas and radishes. Other things have to wait for the ground to be warm.

I stopped taking my plants outside in the spring and bringing them back in in late fall. I can't always water them if they're outside. They stay inside year round now. Edit to add: It's 92F here today but will be 60F for a high on Monday. Low-40s Sunday and Monday nights here. So they should be okay.

We have actually dropped as low as 29 on at least one of the nights. The wind gets brutal.

@GardenGerty We dropped down to 30F last night. And I agree, that wind is brutal.

This is an unusual spring. I just got tired of some of them trying to take over my living room.

We don't really move plants in and out here. Mum would light an old lantern in her shade houses if she thought there was going to be a frost.

Wish I had a shade house here. We would still have to take them in in the fall and winter.

@GardenGerty It's interesting that Britain has 'hothouses' and Australia has 'shade houses'. I guess America, being so huge, has both depending on where you live.

I do not want it too hot too soon, but I would like not to have to cover the plants at night.

We have to be careful not to put plants out too early here Heather Covering them is a good idea. That should keep them ok.

I hope so. I have two big pots of kanchoe blooming in orange. They are somewhat cold hardy.
