Apparently it is broken appliance week here at mylot. I remember Marie Coyle writing earlier about her magic Bullit and some other appliance breaking. Today it is my toaster. All I can say is it worked fine yesterday and today it wouldn't release my pop tart. I thought maybe I can use the other side .nope. There have been non stop expenses this month and I still have to get my car inspected..boo, hiss. I do have a toaster oven, but it's not the same..sniff. Anything broken in your world?

@Ineeddentures I think it is about 5 years old. Smart TV's do not last like the old CRT ones did.

@snowy22315 Is it quite an aged TV? We keep a spare just on case but hopefully as our Smart TV is only 3 years old it will last a few more years

I remember Marie Coyle writing about her magic bullet. I am sorry for your toaster. We lost a space heater two days ago. It became hot and made a weird sound. I ordered (and received) a new one from Amazon.

It's hard to lose appliances you like and depend on

@LadyDuck That's old! I loved my fake wood burning stove space heater..That lasted about 15 years. I will try to get another one this fall.

@snowy22315 - That space heater was 40 years old, I was so sorry to see it die.

Have you been missing it? My worst fears when I take the car in is that either it will be expensive..or he will keep it a long time..ordering parts or messing around

Our fridge cacked itself and now the thing-what-sucks-air-out-and-seals-food-in-bags isn't sucking. That really sucks.

Yes, my old faithful Magic Bullet could not seem to accept life anymore without his buddy, the Oster blender. They went off to their burial together, in the recycle bin. They lived a very long and productive life but we miss them! Sorry about your toaster. Try turning it upside down and give it a hard shaking. Sometimes one tiny shred of hardened toast can mess with its abilities to do its thing. At least you do have a toaster oven, that’s great!!

I just have a broken water heater, but you knew that. Oh, and a broken toilet handle. But if you’re talking kitchen appliances I’ve been fortunate to have working ones.

Maybe the toaster will magically work tomorrow, that happened to us last week. But otherwise, I don't want to weigh into the topic too much, just so that I do not jinx myself.

I don't want to jinx myself but nope nothing is broken here. (knock wood ) At least replacing your toaster isn't a huge expensive but still something unexpected when you have other expenses to deal with.

Gone are the days when you could get a toaster for 10 bucks..actually, they may sell at Dollar General, but probably wouldn't last more than a year.

@snowy22315 yeah those $10 toasters don't last long and I agree that trying to make toast in the toaster oven isn't the same.

My television broke a few weeks ago, and I had it repaired just a few days ago. The repair cost me $60. Tsk
