The Ice Princess is Coming to Visit Us!

My friends may remember our granddaughter. She’s a senior in high school now and very worldly for a 17 year old. She misses us, and is flying alone from New York to visit us on Sunday through Thursday on her school break. I can’t tell you enough how thrilled we are!!!
Our precious grandson, in my photo with the other wonderful grammy, will be flying with our daughter-in-law to begin looking at different universities. He’s a sophomore and 16 years old. It’s never too soon to look at universities.
My son is extremely busy with work, so he can’t get away.
My brother’s wife left for Connecticut this morning and texted me when she got home. No delays or problems of any kind at the airports, thank goodness.

You have a good eye. As my twin, you know exactly how I feel 
. The ice princess looks more like her daddy. My grandson looks more like his mom’s side of the family. That’s his other grammy. She is the sweetest, kindest, most hilarious person ever. We get along so well.

It does! No, it took up too much of her time. She’s a certified figure skater and teaches the young kids figure skating as a little job. She took up crew in high school and is loving that. She also plays tennis once a week and is interning for a Congressman. I don’t know how she finds the time to be honest. Plus, she has an active social life and has been taking accelerated classes in every subject. A+ grades. I’m not too proud.

@Marilynda1225 He has so many interests that he can’t choose, but he has a couple of years to think about it. He just turned 16 on Valentine’s Day. I still don’t know what career I want.

I’m sure you know what fun we’re going to have.
He’s basically just looking at campuses for now. He is only a sophomore. Next year will be more serious looking. My granddaughter did the same thing when looking. One down, one more kid to go!

The kids of today are much more worldly and sophisticated than I ever was. Once when hubs and I took them to a zoo in New York City years ago by taxi cab, our granddaughter used our credit card in the machine to pay for the ride and to leave a tip. We didn’t know what to do!
