The Ice Princess is Coming to Visit Us! / myLot

My friends may remember our granddaughter. She’s a senior in high school now and very worldly for a 17 year old. She misses us, and is flying alone from New York to visit us on Sunday through Thursday on her school break. I can’t tell you enough how thrilled we are!!! Our precious grandson, in my photo with the other wonderful grammy, will be flying with our daughter-in-law to begin looking at different universities. He’s a sophomore and 16 years old. It’s never too soon to look at universities. My son is extremely busy with work, so he can’t get away. My brother’s wife left for Connecticut this morning and texted me when she got home. No delays or problems of any kind at the airports, thank goodness.

We’re excited to have her all to ourselves. She can’t wait to get here. Tomorrow we will start shopping for her favorite foods including M&Ms

We’re planning on making her time here fun. Oh, yes, we already know what days we’re taking her shopping and where. Actually, hubs is taking me shopping Thursday so I won’t ruin her shopping.

It does! No, it took up too much of her time. She’s a certified figure skater and teaches the young kids figure skating as a little job. She took up crew in high school and is loving that. She also plays tennis once a week and is interning for a Congressman. I don’t know how she finds the time to be honest. Plus, she has an active social life and has been taking accelerated classes in every subject. A+ grades. I’m not too proud.

Aww, thank you. He has gotten so tall and is still growing. My younger son has always been the tallest in the family, but not for much longer.
