I wonder who these ladies are

I’ve been going through some old photos and came across this one. It’s obviously very old and has seen better days. There is nothing on the back and nothing to indicate who these ladies might have been. There is also no-one old enough to help with identifying them.
It seems unkind to just turf them in the rubbish bin so I’ll put them back with the rest and our poor executor will have to throw them out.
Do you like their hats?

Whoever they are, they were lovely young ladies.
Years ago, when I went through all mom's family photos to make digital albums, I came across bundles of photos that had nothing written on the back and had to ask my older sister if she knew who they were. She knew some of them but not all of them. I made one album and put those photos into it and labeled it "unknown".

I do like their hats; I often train my brain when looking at old photo album of whose names I can remember,

I don't like the hats but I almost never wear one myself. I have pictures like that.

It's a shame you have no idea who they are. They certainly are dressed up compared to how we dress now. I can't even imagine having to put on that many clothes every day
It is a lovely picture though and yes it would be a shame to toss it even when you have no idea who they are.

The beauty of photos! These ladies are immortalized there forever to be seen by next generation. It really does feel like a shame to just throw them away. The least we can do is put them back where we found them. And looking at the fashion back then, you can really see how much things have changed over time. Can't imagine how I would look like in one of those hats.
