Yvonne has cataract surgery scheduled tomorrow
10.15AM
I hope it goes well
It will improve her eyesight which is good
She is not looking forward to wearing an eye patch after the surgery
But the good thing and the plus side is that Yvonne is actually healthy enough to have this done
Once this is out of the way
We can start properly planning our holidays

@Ineeddentures I don't think it's unusual for Yvonne to be anxious. Surgery is scary even if it's routine.
I'm sure she'll be fine.

This is straightforward for a normally aspirated person
Sadly Yvonne isn't that person

I hope it all goes well. My dad recently had cataract surgery. He is seeing better, but he said one eye is still kind of blurry.

@Ineeddentures It'll be fine...I am sure, This doctor has probably done the surgery so many times, he could do it in his sleep.

@Ineeddentures — in the early 70s my uncle had to be in the hospital for the surgery. In the 90s my mom had it as an office visit, and we went to lunch afterwards.

@ineeddentures I hope she gets good benefit from it. I have a friend who had it done when she was 90 and when she looked in her wardrobe she didn’t recognise her clothes, so dim had her sight become. She asked herself where all the new colourful clothes had come from and thought she was loading her marbles!

Yvonne has never complained about her eyesight but at her last eye test the optician told her her eilhes had deteriorated + so here we go.
The optician said it will really improve her eyesight so much she might not need the same lense on her glasses

That's great news that she is healthy enough for it. Doesn't sound like a fun thing to do though! I don't know that I could ever do it. Don't know if I could let a doctor near my eyes. Hope it will go smoothly
