A cat can help

A cat can think they are helping at any rate.
Every night when it is time for bed, Pedro gets on the desk.
He tries to hold my hands so I quit typing.
He attempts to roll over on the keyboard, or reaches with a rear paw to just barely touch one key.
Pedro is helping me decide to go to bed.

I'm not always sure cats think they're helping. Sometimes I think they know they're just playing with us.

Yes, they are, but they are also frustrating.

Dogs and cats have an uncanny sense of time. When I had a dog named Ozzie, he knew when nap time was. I would call my MIL every night after work; and then I would go upstairs and take a nap. Ozzie would stand on the landing and wait for me as if to say, hurry up! It's nap time. Then we would go upstairs; and he would lay on the rug next to the bed.

Glad you're finally getting the hint.
Too much screen time isn't good for you, especially when it's time for bed.

He takes his little clawed paws and wraps them around my hand.

Doodlebug loves gets on my desk when I am on the computer. He is sitting on the desk right now. He likes to walk on my keyboard too. I try to turn off the keyboard when he wants to walk on it.

I have to move my keyboard. Kitty foot steps do not make good typing.

Yes, he does. Both the boys like to get everything in place.
