A face in the flames

Here is another of Vince’s photos from a boxing competition he attended in Thailand. Can you see the face in the flames? Not in the top flare-up but the next one down. The face is side on and looking to the right. We had couch-surfers stay with us once and they could juggle, swallow flames and swords, etc. They met at a medieval fair. She was from Italy; he was from Canada and they found it hard to communicate. They had intended to marry in Donnybrook with us as witnesses but eventually they went to Canada and married there.

@judyEv I see it. Like @ladyduck I am scared of fire swallowers, although it does conjure up memories of Beaubourg on a November night when fire eaters and sword swallowers etc used to be allowed to perform on the big square outside the Centre Pompidou. Now it’s all been sanitised and depersonalised.

@xFiacre I still remember them in Paris. They were also present at the County Fairs in Italy.

It's strange sometimes what you can see in fires and clouds.

Yes, I can see the face in the flame. I am always scared by those who swallow flames.

It must get very hot near their face even if they don't get burnt.

Yes, I can see the face in the flames. That is so cool! One of my friends had a girlfriend who juggled balls of flame and could breathe fire. He brought her to our last house and she practiced in our back yard for about half an hour. Very fascinating!

@JudyEv It really was. They sat and visited for a couple of hours afterwards, too.

That would be cool to watch someone practising their art.

What a cool photo. Is boxing an interest of Vince’s?

I think it was a lucky shot really, getting the face.

Very cool picture. I never seen a flame swallower, but I have seen a sword swallower at the Renaissance Festival.

I have seen something like that in Panglao Bohol Philippines last October. Good to watch but scary if it goes to your own face.

No I took a good look for a few minutes but still couldn't find the face in the flames. The only face I could find is that of the Buddha.

That's okay. It's good you could find Buddha in the flames.
