Sunshine!

Finally we have some sunshine today. Temps are in the 60s F, and the pavement is drying. I am glad we had a few days of rain. Perhaps I will see some sprouts soon. So far I have planted green beans, corn and sunflower. I may get some cherry tomato seeds as well. I wish I were better with herbs. I love cilantro. But I am not good at getting it to grow. Anyway, how is the weather where you are? And how does your garden grow?

Cilantro, or Coriander seems difficult to grow from seed So we just buy the plants in compost from Tesco Pull off what we need And it regrows quite well Easier than seeds

@Ineeddentures No clue. Cilantro is a mystery to me. Did you know that "Mystery to Me" is the name of a really good early Fleetwood Mac album?

@TheHorse I'm guessing seeds blew off of a plant nearby and then lay dormant untill it was time for them to grow So I cannot figure why this does not happen when we plant proper seeds which were not cheap

We have had fluctuating weather of temperature spiking fast, then rains and then again some warm days. Followed by days with sudden rains, cool mornings and again warmer days. Luckily, rains in between have kept mercury in some checks, so mostly temperature stays between 31 and 35 C. I am awaiting to see a grand picture of all your lovely plants !

@TheHorse That is a good news. Here, after days of swinging weather, we now again have rising temperatures. It could cross 40 C may be in a few weeks. Or even earlier.

@TheHorse Well, we have many 40 C plus days here ! And El Nino forecasts mean we could have a testing summer ahead, and may be below par rainfall.

We have sunshine now but it was raining just a few minutes ago. We're supposed to see more rain this evening/overnight. 79F at 3:30 pm. Nothing in the garden to grow so far.

@DaddyEvil Do succulents do OK there? They might struggle with the Winters. Here, they thrive, and require minimal maintenance.

I love cherry tomatoes. The weather has been a roller coaster. Up and down. It was 80 yesterday. It's going to drop back into the 30s and 20s for 3 days. No garden here.

We're expecting rain tomorrow. Weeds have starded growing again in our flower bed, but nothing we can't handle. George will pull them when he feels up to it. Someone parked across the street and asked George if we needed a yard man. I doubt they understood what he was saying.

@TheHorse The rainy weather here in Spring is not the same as "rainy seasons".However We have plum rains when plums ripe, from mid June to Mid July.

I try to remember the weather patterns in different countries. But it difficult. The Philippines and India also have "rainy seasons." I suppose ours is late Fall and early Winter.

Beautiful sunny day also here. A bit breezy but no more strong wind as the past days. No one is good in growing cilantro, it's such a tricky thing to grow.

@TheHorse - Cilantro surely has a mind of its own. The mint took over my garden one year, I did not contain enough. At least when I mowed the lawn it smelled good.

One year it took over our garden in Oakland. I did not plant any seeds that year. I guess it has a mind of its own.

We need rain badly. Temperature is above average. I have tomatoes, bell pepper and eggplant, they are getting big. I also have new blueberry bushes blooming as well as blackberries. The pears, I think the last unexpected freeze got those but the wild cherries bloomed. Love the photo.
