My Spider Plant Journey

Couple of weeks ago my friend gave me a cutting of his spider plant. They call it spiderettes. I propagated a couple of them on water so that I have more chances of producing survivor plants. Surprisingly all of them rooted well. Here is one of them on the photo. Yesterday was change water day. Plants make me happy and occupied. I hope this grows healthy and strong.

Spiderettes are normally easy to grow. You can root them in water or just cover the rootlets with a little dirt and they root that way, too... Hello! Nice to see you again.

@DaddyEvil you may be able to buy those automatic glass waterers that you fill with water and let drip on its own. You can buy them cheap on Temu too. I wish my kitchen had more space for more plants

@flapiz I'm trying to talk Pretty into letting me plant some seeds in the pots we have on the front porch. The problem is that if I can't see to water them, she doesn't want to water the pots full of plants outside, either. For now, I only have the potted plants in the kitchen. Thanks. I am having more problems lately. *shrug* Nothing really concerning, though.

Still thriving. I moved it on a sunnier spot by the window sill. I might need to transfer them in soil soon.

I am thrilled to watch their roots grow. That is the advantage of planting in water. You really see them progress.

@LadyDuck have you started planting for this year yet? The weather is so lovely. Although I cannot plant outdoors yet as it could still get frosty.
