Tuesday Coffee and Chit Chat

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's a nice sunny day here this morning but it's chilly. We haven't even hit 50 degrees yet. I'm back to wearing a sweater, socks & slippers to keep my feet warm and I have the heating pad covering my knees.
All of my activities yesterday really are making my knees hurt today. They're wondering what the heck happened and why they were required to do so much 
My bloodwork came back good except for my thyroid. I have to increase my medication and go back in 6 weeks for more bloodwork.
Since everything is online these days and goes into a chart I could see the results of my bloodwork a mere few hours after they took it. I was watching Jimmy Kimmel last night when my phone dinged and it was a message from my doctor about the results and increasing the thyroid meds. I couldn't believe he was doing charts at almost midnight. His day starts very early so it makes me wonder when he sleeps.
I got a message that from Walgreens my new meds are ready for pickup so guess I'll ask my older daughter to pick them up since she's always in town and is coming here tonight for girls night.
I'm looking forward to our girls night tonight and we have plenty leftover dessert from Easter so we'll have our pick of sweets.
Meanwhile looks like my day is going to fly by but certainly wouldn't enjoy my coffee unless I was having it while chatting here

Well that is a minor tweak. I am now taking iron as a result of my bloodwork.

Easy enough to adjust the meds. Maybe the increase will give me more energy

Its arthritis and I have good days and bad days. At my age it is what it is and im glad I don't have serious medical issues

My doctor is wonderful and always happy. It just boggles my mind how late he works

We had snow flurries for most of the morning today-it was terribly cold looking outside.
I get quarterly lab work done, but I can tell that my thyroid is lower than it used to be, and I would increase my medication but I have a friend who got his meds mixed up and the consequences were symptoms that were mistaken for a heart attack. I don't mess with my meds, but I should mention it to my doctor to see if there is another test that he needs to run.

I would never fool around with my thyroid meds unless specifically told to by my doctor. Too much or too little can really cause other problems without the necessary tests to adjust it
You should mention it to your doctor and see next time you have your labs done. My doctor usually runs 2 different tests

It is amazing how fast they post some of those results.
We have just got to 41 today, so extremely chilly.
