Allergies are making me miserable.

Usually, I get slapped fairly hard when things start blooming in the spring, but this is the worst ever. Eyes constantly watering, sneezing, a tickle cough. Clogged up sinuses. I sound and look like I’m catching or horribly sick but it’s just intense allergies.
I have meds but they aren’t helping me much. Usually they do. When I get home and don’t have to drive anywhere I will take another dose. I look sad and sick with constant tears.
Do any of you have this problem?

@MarieCoyle - All medications to stop allergies increase intraocular pressure, very dangerous for me.

I’m sorry you can’t be treated for it, Anna. I know if I don’t take the medications that I am simply miserable.

I've been taking my nasal sprays more regularly and it seems a little better right now.

@MarieCoyle — I don’t care for the aftertaste, but I also don’t care to go back on allergy shots.

Nasal sprays and me do not get along, they send me in to fits of endless sneezing. I am glad they work for you.

Allergy shots cause me to have huge swelling in the injection site with heat and sometimes fever. Umm,no. It just added to the misery!

I have done the shot thing and they kept having to increase the dose, etc. it isn’t feasible to do them anymore. Even the allergy doctor gave up on them for me.
I can sympathize with your Dad. I’ve blown out my ears a few times, too.

Thank goodness I do not have allergies. Just have to walk slowly around the home.

I'm sorry you're being affected so much by the pollen. I don't have any allergies to pollen unless it's really, really heavy.

I do not experience that, and I am sorry that you do.
In the late summer my eczema always goes active, and remains that way usually until after a killing frost.
This year I have been 'blessed' with it lasting since last September.
I wish it would go into remission.

My ex used to have eczema. Not terribly bad but it was hard to get it cleared up.

Mine are not bad in the spring. Soybean harvest gets me

Soybean and corn dust are terrible, especially if it’s windy and dry when they harvest them.

I am lucky not to be affedted by allegies, However, I used to get really bad sinus attacks when I lived in Latvia but when I moved to Florida that all stopped, I hope you start feeling much better soon. Maybe this can help you
Spring is here—but so are allergies! ?? Stop the sneezing with natural remedies like local honey, quercetin, and vitamin C. Plus, managing stress can help reduce symptoms. Breathe easier and enjoy the season!

Thank you, Rasma. I have had terrible allergies my entire life and I think I’ve tried it all. I have prescribed meds.

Allergies can often lead to other issues. I’m glad you received the treatment you needed.

Yes, I have reactive airways, asthma, allergies, and allergic rhinitis. I’m on antihistamines, maintenance/controller inhaler for asthma, and nasal sprays-these are all pretty much for life. I’ve also been wearing face masks for decades now. I even wear them at home when I’m cleaning, especially around my cats or when dusting-basically anything that might trigger my allergies.
