Just ordered Nico's prescription food. It was ridiculously expensive. You never know how much you are going to pay at that place. I means last time I really got a deal. It was about a 12 pound bag for 37.00 which is normally the cost of one of the smaller bags. Today I paid 48 for one of the smaller bags. I think the secret might be to cancel auto shipping and restart again to get the discount as a new autoship member. I didn't ask them, but I am sure it was something like that. You don't want to know about the price difference of the 8 pound fish I wanted to buy. I am sure the price of gas has something to do with this as well. Have you found things are up due to gas prices?

48 for the bag is really expensive, but everything is getting more and more expensive and I fear it's only the beginning.

@LadyDuck It was more started by Israel, but the US should have kept their nose out of it. I think the fear was if Israel was attacked US installations in the region would be attacked also causing mass casualties Now we have a big expensive mess and quagmire though.

My son buys prescription food for one cat and buys what he calls the healthiest cat food and treats for both cats. When he told me the weekly price, it turned out to be more than we spend on our groceries!

The only good thing about this is it will last at least a month..but that is still like 7 bucks a week. Plus I do often supplement with wet food, he gets bored eating the same old thing everyday.

@snowy22315 I truly understand! Doodles and all my other cats refused to eat cat food if I bought it on sale! Such little finicky critters

He seems to do OK on regular wet food..but he is addicted to dry. I will talk to a vet about it at some point. I think if dry wasn't offered he would go nuts.

So many of our supplies are brought in by truck that prices have been continually going up.

Wow Nicos food really does sound expensive. I think you should try to opt out of auto delivery and see if you can get a discount if you sign up again. I'm so glad my dog doesn't need special food. But, if she did I would spend the money too.

Not so far. I buy a limited amount of groceries each week; and it's always the same thing. They are expensive to begin with because much of it is "natural".

That’s a big price difference. It seems like just about everything we buy is going up in price every time we buy it. Except,of course, our incomes!
