Coffee and Some Friday Chit Chat

Happy Friday Everyone! the sun just popped out, it's still chilly but supposed to warm up by afternoon. I certainly hope so as the house is a bit cold right now and I'm trying not to turn the heat on.
I got my latest heating bill yesterday and of course it's gone up! 
Can't say I'm surprised but it's still frustrating.
I don't want to whine about the increase but it seems as if we can't get a break from Mother Nature and enjoy some time without either the heat or air conditioning on.
Today I have the usual things to do around the house and my afternoon will be time to relax. I'm working on a baby blanket to send to my cousin for her new granddaughter so maybe I can catch up on some tv shows while I crochet. Otherwise, I might just sit and read. Started a new book by James Patterson (one of my favorite authors) called Billion Dollar Ranson and it grabbed me from page one.
This week seemed to fly by extra fast. I don't have anything exciting planned for the weekend. I just about finished my grocery list and have to give it a quick go-over before scheduling for a pick-up tomorrow morning. Thought we'd be able to skip a week without a trip to Sams Club but there's a few things we do need and can't put off for another week. So we'll be out bright and early getting groceries.
Now I'm off to catch up here and see what's happening

Have a good one I need tires..it seems like the cheapest thing to do will be to go through Walmart. What a pain They are all so far from here

Wow tires can be really expensive so maybe it's worth the trip to Walmart to get them. It's always something isn't it. Never seem to be without some unplanned for expense.

@Marilynda1225 I knew I needed them..just had too many other things to deal with. When I get paid this month I will get at least 2 and possibly 4. We will see how things transpire.

I'm in bed with the curtains in my room pulled back watching the lightning and rain right now. We've switched off the heat the last few days but the house is still 74F. The workmen last summer did a good job with the insulation. 
(I was too warm last night so turned on my fan. It feels nice.)
The electric and gas companies have both put in requests to raise their prices here so our bills will go up, I'm sure.
Nothing else happening here. I hope you enjoy your sunshine today.

@Marilynda1225 I love watching thunderstorms as long as I'm in the house or car. I don't like driving in the rain, though.

I find watching lightening fascinating.
Glad you were able to turn your heat off and that all work last summer worked with the insulation.
It's really frustrating when bills just keep going up and up and up.
So far I'm enjoying my sunny day and have gotten quite a bit accomplished,.

I have seen books by James Patterson but haven't read them.
Electricity bills do shoot up a lot during extreme weather.
Even for me, the week went very fast.
I hope the baby blanket comes out to be a great one !

Again a mixed weekend. Some rest but not sufficient.
Moreover, I am recovering from a short spell of Fever, cough and cold.
Reason: Sudden changes in weather. Sudden warmer days followed by unseasonal rains.
A few March end days felt colder than early Feb days !
Crazy weather.

Guess there's no getting away from bills shooting up when the weather is extreme.
The baby blanket is coming along and I should have it done to mail to her by next week.

I used to so enjoy those books that grabbed our attention right off and never let go. I recall one that I was reading where a young woman is transported to a ancient time. She's rummaging around in the dirt and falls through to a cavern and awakens a knight from his long slumber. What a story that turned out to be. A little fantasy never hurt anyone.

Nice that you have a good book, it might be inside reading weather this coming weekend.
I worked at the office today, and ran into so many people that I used to work with that have gone to other departments. Lots of hugs and sharing memories and laughter. Times and workplaces change so much, that 2 people told me separately, that I reminded them of the good old TD, when we all cared about each other. That was a nice compliment.
