Road Trip for 9 Hours: Whew!

Yesterday, my brother-in-law brought us to accompany him delivering his frozen high-end goodies. I did not expect that the road trip would take nine hours. Regardless, I enjoyed the joyride and seeing the places while having the trip by car. Besides, I am not the driver. Once we arrived at home, I went straight to my room. Due to exhaustion, I slept like a baby. Do you like joyriding? Image Credit: media3.giphy.com

Joyriding I see nothing joyous about sitting in a car for 9 hours. Not my idea of fun I would get stiff and sore

It is a good thing that we do have a stopover for a few minutes. It would not be great if there is no air conditioning while traveling.

That is my reason to go with them. I will not be the driver. It was fun to have the trip for nine hours.

Goodness! I do enjoy a road trip if the company is good, and it sounds like yours was. Plus, you had such a day you probably got some quality sleep.

The following day, my sister's hubby invited me again to have a road trip. But I need to say no this time. I can do it next time. It was fun though.

It has been a long time that I did not do this. Besides, I wanted also to see other places. If I have the chance, I can do the solo road trip using a motorbike.

@crossbones27 I agree. It will be a roller coaster traveling by it, though.

I'm glad you enjoyed the trip! Pretty and I used to go driving all the time just to get out of the house for a while. I'd let her choose which direction we drove and when we turned onto secondary roads. Pretty always tried to get me lost but I used to drive all over when I was a teenager so it's hard to get me lost on roads I know. We haven't gone driving like that in years.

As you had said, it has been a long time since I had a road trip. In fact, I prefer to explore a place solo. In this way, I can get lost and find certain new things to experience.

@Shavkat I always hated getting lost. I prefer to do things with a friend so we can share finding new-to-us things.

@Shavkat Baguio to Manila and vice-versa usually takes 4 - 5 hours. Plus, there are first class buses that are really comfortable so the ride ain't that hard.

I hope you have not tried to travel to Baguio City by bus. I also love riding on a bus going to Manila and vice versa.

Joyriding? Joyriding is the act of driving or riding in a stolen vehicle without the owner's permission, I do not think it was your case.

Usually, if I’m not the driver, I try to keep the driver entertained on long drives so they don’t fall asleep

If I was travelling through interesting country I would probably enjoy it but nine hours would be a bit too long.

I agree. It was a long hours' road trip. I can imagine how boring it is to do it without someone to talk with while traveling.
