Ha ha ha This is very funny My friend just phoned me He adopted a cat a few days ago All has been well Cat settled in and seems to like him But He says it went nuts for about 20 minutes tonight Running and jumping all over the place He sat still on the couch watching it It's caused some damage, knocked stuff over, etc And it's snarling at him if he moves from his seat What should he do?

Doesn't that have a name? The "Zoomies," or something like that? It happens to Kitty now and then. I'll leave it up to the cat people to say more.

Zoomies are dogs, but I guess cats can get them, the difference is a dog will go I am good now. They do it for different reasons too. A lot of people think its just energy, but a dog will do zoomies if they are really happy. Maybe cats do too..

I'm sure the cat will love it's new home. My friend is one of life's good guys so the cat has a good companion

It's possessed! He should run for his life! It'll adjust and adapt. Cats are wonderful companions.

Uh oh..something set it off. Best wait until it calms down. Was it a feral or outside cat? Maybe he doesn't like being shut in?

Nah just a normal kitty. It seemed to have settled well From what I read here it seems a normal enough thing for a kitty to do It loves his house, when we saw it it did look at home

He should do nothing, those are called "zoomies". The cat still needs to adapt to his new place. Some cats do, but not all cats.

Dogs and cats sometimes have the zoomies. It is a release of pent-up energy. Maybe he should play with the cat more.

He only just got it When we saw it he was interacting with it very well It was on his knee purring away like it had found it's soul mate It's a youngish cat so maybe it will zoomie more often lol

That is a good question. Run? lol. Haven't had a cat since I was a kid. Well, when I first got married we had 2 kittens but then we moved and couldn't bring them with us. Needless to say I don't know cats too well.

We had two older cats so I don't really remember much about having a young cat..

Really? That's seem very odd. Some get the zoomies occasionally but don't usually end up snarling.
