I want a buddy to go with me.

Do you ever have a boring road ahead of you, and you wish you had a buddy with you to help pass the time? In the next few weeks I have a host of “fun” doctor appointments ahead of me, and I want a buddy. Way back in the day, when we were trying to to find out my health problems (and I was bleeding my parents dry with medical bills), my mom (pre dementia) went with me to my appointments: scans, biopsies, endoscopies…she kept it all tolerable. Well, at least she doesn’t have to witness that now. (cue bittersweet moment) But I still miss having a Buddy when traveling a melodramatic medical road. I get tired of my own company!

I can understand you would prefer to have company on these appointments. If I expect to have wait in waiting rooms for an age, I make sure I have a book of puzzles with me, or a book to read. It's not as good as 'people' company but it does give you something to do

Yes, I need to remember to bring my crossword puzzles. My phone gets boring after awhile.

I sure would if I could! If you were just closer!

There is no doubt in my mind you’d be here if you could.

I wish you had a buddy too! It can make things a lot easier and more tolerable.

I enjoy company as well if I'm on a long drive
