So, I ordered some tires from Walmart a few days ago..not easy to do since their website is so glitchy and crappy, at least on my device, besides the fact they try to upsell you every chance they get. I also scheduled an installation for Monday..the tires were supposed to be in yesterday..but they are "delayed" with no reason given. I am not going to wait for them to sasshay in there and have to make a whole other appointment.I just cancelled the order since they wouldn't give me a credit for having to wait. I will get tires from Amazon. I trust them. The local guy out here can install them. The other thing is Dollar General they are remodeling into the market version and were supposed to be open today..of course they were not..which meant I had to go to a convenience store for milk which I was out of. Sigh!

Walmart Auto Department makes me crazy. I will not go there. Back when I had the Jeep, it needed tires. It was hard to find the right size at the time, finally a Walmart not far from me had 2 of them and assured me they would get more, so I bought the two as the other two would be there in a week, so they said. Wrong...they didn't show at all, even after a month. Then I was stuck with the two and needed two more of the same thing. I called all over the place, finally my oldest son found the two I needed and grabbed them for me and I got them put on. I didn't have Walmart put them on. They also changed the oil in one of our cars back in the day...and put in the WRONG filter! I didn't make it out of the parking lot, when there was a big noise and all of the oil was on the concrete...they are not to be trusted.

Last time I went there they told me there was no oil going through the system..and basically the car would need major repairs..wrong!! They had me all worked up for naught!

@snowy22315 They do not train their employees, nor do they hire any that know much about fixing anything, even basics. The best thing they could ever do is shut down all of their automotive departments.

We haven't had to replace any tires in a few years. There is a particular brand that my hubby prefers. They usually have an incentive, if you buy them during a specific time frame, you qualify for a prepaid Visa credit card provided you buy and have them installed at an endorsed shop. That got us the first purchase, and he liked those tires so much that a decade later, on another vehicle, he did the same thing. Me, I would rather trade the car in. Our vehicle has around 65,000 kms on it, and I suggested that if we replace it in a year's time, we will not have to replace the tires and since the technology in vehicles changes so much in such short time, it is a good idea that we trade it in for that reason also. You are lucky that your dollar stores have refrigerated foods, ours do not, dry goods only and a very limited amount of edibles, mostly our dollar stores have hardware, school supplies, paper products and tablecloths, things like that.

It comes in handy especially when you are kind of far from a store.

@snowy22315 Our son was going to get his tires from Costco last week, and my hubs asked him if he was getting tires for an 18 wheeler or a fleet of vehicles, because Costco is known for buying in bulk. He only needed 4 tires and he took the hint and found a tire dealer and got them done there.

A delay without an explanation why is unacceptable! It only shows they don't care much about their customers.

They have poor customer service I would not be a Walmart+ member and pay them to be bad.

Some stores don't seem to bother about retaining their customers.
