A longish day

I had a 10 a.m. appointment in Wichita, and Bob had a 2:30 p.m. appointment in Wichita. I thought I might also shop Sam's Club, but did not feel up to it. There was a big thunderstorm moving through the area.
So we needed to leave at 8:30 at the latest to make it to my appointment. Bob tried to get me to leave at 7:30, but we managed to hold off until 8 a.m. We arrived about 50 minutes early. I think that is what made me tired.
I finished my clinical trial appointment about 11:30, and both of us were hungry. We went to IHOP.. The food was very good, we both had breakfast meals. Our mistake was ordering one of their special iced tea drinks. They were $4.50 each. Of course free refills, but I did not want any.
After lunch we made it to Bob's appointment at the VA more than an hour and a half early. Gave us enough time to go to the wrong building and use the wrong elevator, and then go back to where we came in for the right one. We were an hour early, but the person we needed saw us at 1:30, so that was nice.
A big thunderstorm was headed into our area, so we drove straight home. Part of the way we had some wind and rain. It is sunny at our place.
I am trying to decide if I should nap. Maybe I will.

That was a big day! I don't think I have ever been an hour early because it seems here if you are even 5 minutes early you just have to wait a bit, anyway. You guys got lucky!
Lots of wind here today. Tornado watch has been off and on, currently not on...time will tell.

I'm glad you made it home alright.
I hate the long drives to see specialists. The drives to Springfield aren't so bad since we stay on the same highway from our house to their offices. Taking Pretty to Joplin is a pain in the tush and takes much longer. We have to take several turns and depend on the GPS to get us there and back on the right outer road to come home. It has sent us on the wrong road before and then we have to backtrack and try again.

We had some thunderstorms, but they waited until darkness to hit. I’m kind of amazed we didn’t get any tornadoes this week, although one part of Oklahoma got two.
I’m sorry you had so much time to kill. But I guess it’s better than being late; even if the doctors seem to run late as the day goes on.

I am glad you made it.
I was planning to go to a coffee shop for two days no but I was not able because my TMJ disorder got me again, it gave me a severe headache!.

I don't know how many times we've got trying to find parking and/or the right room/area when we have medical appointments. We're always grateful if we've left a bit before we needed to.

I'm lucky that my specialists are local for the most part. I hope you took a nap.
