I nearly blew the kitchen up !!!

I have to make a mountain of sandwiches on a Sunday evening. Some for The Mister to take away to work with him, and some for me …. The Mister likes a particular butter ….it is so hard to spread that he has taken to putting it in front of the fire to soften it. However, tonight he says to me …..just put it in the microwave , it will be quicker ….. Yes, I thought, I will do that …. Next thing I know there are sparks in the microwave and a funny zizzling sound. I switched it off and opened the door, and was greeted by a burning pong ! Oh yes, dear MyLotters …..the butter was wrapped in paper …it had a metallic strip on it ….i didn’t realise ! Oh the joys !
