Received a message from my trusted courier that my package is out for delivery. Yes, this time it took only a little over a week to get to me. I kept waiting for the delivery man to arrive but because I was too busy, I didn't even notice him at all. It was my sister who received my parcel as she also got her own delivery. Do you get impatient when your parcel says, out for delivery?

It depends on what I order. Sometimes I do and sometimes it's like Christmas because I can't remember what I ordered. Like Sunday we got a package and I didn't think I ordered anything. Turns out I ordered my husband's anniversary gift and completely forgot

These days my parcels are coming from a friend. So I always get excited what he got me even though he already told me what he bought.

@toniganzon I can understand that. I get excited unless I forget I ordered something then it's confusion lol

Well, I get a little anxious when I know it’s coming because although I request the delivery person to knock as they leave to notify me it’s there, they don’t always do so. I want to get to it quickly because last year a valuable package was stolen. One stolen package out of 21 years isn’t bad, but it’s one too many (I know which neighbor did it, but can’t prove it). So I listen for footsteps or rustling, and I’m always ready to get it. My dog, too, alerts me sometimes.

@toniganzon That’s good. I started sending my packages to my dad’s house for awhile and never had a problem. My parents (dad and stepmom) apparently live around more honest people because in the 29 years my dad has lived there, nothing has been stolen. That’s including the time my dad didn’t want to bring my package in, and left it out overnight.

That happened to my son's Croc's bag that was delivered to my mother-in-law in the US. It got stolen. So we never got it. And same with my mermaid keychain which was handmade and was sen to my MIL's resident in New Jersey too. It got stolen as well so I never got it. Fortunately, Philippine couriers will never ever leave a parcel at our doorstep. We have to sign it to receive the parcel. If we aren't home or nobody's there to receive, they will come back the next day.

Same here. Our courier has this feature that we receive updates in our messenger. So even if I don't track they keep me updated when my parcel arrives in the country, if it has gotten out of the custom, and when it's out for delivery and the last update is when it's received, if not me then by someone else in the house.

@Wrexxo That's kind of weird to feel nervous about receiving a parcel especially if it's something you bought online or a gift sent to you

I consider all my parcels important as they contain expensive stuff from another country.

@toniganzon right! considering it is expensive and wonder if it is properly handle it is only natural to get impatient as to what time it'll be delivered.

I buy most of my delivered stuff from Amazon, and that is usually next day delivery. It can be delivered late at night, and that can make me impatient, especially if the estimated time was much earlier. You can track the parcel but sometimes the system fails and the driver appears without warning. That frustrates me.

These days my deliveries are form another country. Within the country it takes only 24 hours. 3 days the most. When I buy from Amazon, it takes a week to get here. It has to pass through the customs. All international parcels do.

@JudyEv When I buy online, it's really something I need so it's anticipated. And much more so when it's a present.

@toniganzon I don't know really. I know it will get here eventually but I don't get worried about it.
