If You Don't Like Water Here Are Some Ways To Hydrate

I have found two drinks I will treat myself to that are very good for me. Those are cranberry juice (so many options) and grape flavored Powerade. I love this flavor. But water is still important. I know many don't like to drink water. In my reading I have found some ways that might help with this. Here are a few: * There are many things you can add to your water like cucumber slices, lime, lemon or even a favorite herb to change the flavor. * Soup for lunch can be a very pleasant way to hydrate, and you have a myriad of combinations to choose from. * You can drink flavored electrolyte drinks made yourself or bought and infuse water with your favorite fruit or vegetable juice also. Add a pinch of salt for needed sodium. I hope this might help with your water intake.

All good suggestions. Personally I love water and have no trouble drinking at least 64 oz a day and that doesnt include my coffee in the morning. I also like pineapple flavored sparkling ice (water) which I buy on Amazon in a 12 pk. It's so refreshing on a hot afternoon and quenches your thirst as well as giving you something sweet to drink with adding calories or sugar.

Grape powerade or gatorade would be my choice too. Interesting ideas though. I think I will just go with my adding flavor packets to the water, that helps me. Though I don't do it daily (or even drinking plain water)

Are the flavor packets electrolytes?

@celticeagle Not really, just flavor...although this new brand I got tonight does have electrolytes. Not sure how much.

I think people put to much enfisis on water intake. Doctors will say 6 to eight glasses a day. But, there are other ways to get water that won't dehydrate you, too. Drinking other drinks can help. Eating foods can also improve hydration, too. While it's true you should limit sugary drinks, endulging in them once in a while won't kill you. Milk, is another option to hydrate and is a good source of vidiimn D. Forcing water isn't the answer. Drinking enough, is. If that means fruit juice with ice cubes, it works. People need to focus less on how much they drink water, and make sure they are doing what's right for them. If you have to pee four to ten times a day, you're doing good. Listen to your body, it'll tell you if you're drinking enough.

Fortunately, watermelon is abundant here and when people want to hydrate but don't like water, they eat watermelon. It's hydrating, refreshing and very delicious.

My usual drinks are iced tea, juice, or soda. At night when going for bathroom breaks I sip on iced water,

That sounds good. I find that I feel a lot better if I get plenty of water.
