I woke up hungry this morning, so I'm heating up French fries at 3 am to eat with a mix of mayo and ketchup. They're delicious!
Pretty is awake, too, but told me she doesn't want any when I asked if she was hungry. It's a good thing I put enough fries in the oven for two people. When the French fries were done, Pretty came into the kitchen and took half of them.

Pretty always says she isn't hungry and then come in when my food is ready and takes some of it.
I just scoot over and let her take what she wants and I take what's left.

@LadyDuck But he asked you to cook it, right? If you were here, I'd ask for spaghetti, too.

It seems like we mostly eat them during the night when one of us is hungry but no food is ready.

It seems like it’s a staple food item in America. Here in the Philippines, it has also become quite popular, especially after McDonald’s and Burger King started introducing it. Now, we have almost the same kinds of stores that are found in your place.

@DaddyEvil Yeah, that’s the difference between your place and ours. Mashed potatoes are available here too, but rice is the main staple food, so most fast-food places serve rice alongside chicken. Onion rings could also become popular here, but they’re more like side dishes that you pair with burgers or spaghetti.

@rsa101 I don't eat rice. Other people here will and do, though.
Fast food places don't offer rice unless it's a Chinese or Japanese restaurant.

We rarely eat French fries. The fast food places offer French fries or onion rings. We like onion rings when we go out for fast food. If we're in a restaurant, we order mashed potatoes or Pretty prefers mashed cauliflower. (I don't like mashed cauliflower.

@DaddyEvil I immediately thought of a burger or even on a sandwich with deli meat.

@Juliaacv I use it on burgers or when I'm just eating the burger without the bun.

She always takes half of the fries.
You really should give it a try. It's good on burgers as well as fries. 1 person likes this

Pretty sounds exactly like me
I'd say I'm not hungry… then end up eating anyway. Sometimes I even finish everything lol! And I love fries, I could eat them anytime. I also like dipping them in a mayo-ketchup mix. It’s so simple, just two basic ingredients you usually have at home, but it tastes so good that I use it on almost everything! I use it as a dressing for salads, pairs really well with fish fillet, and I even enjoy it with some meats and veggies. It just makes everything taste better!

@pitsipeahie Exactly! We also have mustard and mayo mixed together for ham sandwiches, too.

These are store-bought seasoned French fries you just need to pour into a baking pan and stick in the oven for 30 minutes. We both love them.

I used to love French Fries. Especially hot fresh salty McDonalds french fries. But for whatever reason I don't like them anymore. My tastes have really changed over the last 5 years,

I used to hate French fries but like them now. Taste buds just change over the years, I guess.
