Something is happening at the White House Correspondents' Dinner

The event began at 8pm. CNN was on a commercial break after the president of the association spoke and guests began to enjoy their dinners. They just came back on live from the ballroom at the dinner.
Trump, Melania, and JD Vance were all hustled off of the dais immediately. Cabinet members Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Hegseth, and Scott Bessent were removed too. A couple of members of the media are saying that it sounded like a stack of plates crashed to the ground. Media members were crouched down on the ground and there were armed security guards up on the stage.
CNN's Kaitlan Collins has just reported via phone that there was a shooter (and shots fired (in the lobby who is now confirmed dead. Whoa. So far it is being reported that no one was injured aside from the shooter.

My thoughts exactly. And now we are hearing even more BS about it....the security at an event like that, with the President and Vice-President, First Lady, all the other cohorts, etc...all in the same place? Yep. Total BS.

This reporter said they were all under tables and at one point a USA chant Broke out. I could not help but laugh, sounds accurate.

I was watching it as well. I have to wonder how any shooter got that far, but time will tell. What a snarl. Not good.
