Scampi, Chips , and Peas
We have been busy in the garden today
And we did consider having a takeaway tonight
But we promised we were not buying any more takeaways
So tonight, I cooked Scampi Chips and Peas for our dinner.
Home made Chips
Proper Chips, nothing quite like them,
Peas, look people, some colour on the plate as well, and it's healthy
I am glad we didn't buckle and go for the quick fix.
Two days now the Chinese over the road has been open and we have not given into temptation
Are we good?

I peeled the potatoes myself, chipped them and fried them in lard

I think that everything is becoming expensive now more than ever Anna
And I also don't think that prices will ever.go back to what they were before Trump started his illegal war.
I think prices will go up a bit for a while yet

The smell would be calling us constantly. Love Chinese food. Haven’t had any since we’ve been in Florida, but we have so many great places for takeout. Definitely this weekend!

It's easy.
Peel potatoes, cut Into chips
Rinse to get starch off
Dry chips on clean towel
Heat oli in pan
When hot enough lower chips on a chip basket into the oil being very careful not to have too much oil in pan
Fry until golden brown

Your mum is correct.
Cheaper and healthier to cook stuff at home
And home cooked is usually more tasty as well

And she says my Chinese Curry is better than any takeaway
So I won't try it out
