Dug a Deceased to Claim

I am not sure if it is fake news when browsing the walls on Facebook today. I read that a man dug his deceased sister to prove that she died in India. He was trying to get her money from the bank. As claimed by the authority, the man was confused and frustrated. That pushed him to do such an act. I felt bad that employees in this bank did not explain and guide him to claim the money. How frustrating for someone not to be guided, right? Image Credit: cdn.quotesgram.com

It doesn’t sounds like someone that really happened, does it.

Indeed. I was also surprised and can imagine how frustrating for a man to do this.

@LadyDuck Indeed. I think this is what he needs. No one was able to guide him at first. I hope it will be a big lesson for those people involved in this particular incident.

Claiming a deceased sister’s bank funds can be challenging, especially if she left no designated heir. The bank must determine the legitimate heirs, typically starting with her husband, followed by her children, then parents and siblings. Additionally, the bank must ensure there are no creditors with valid claims, which can further delay the release of funds. Her brother cannot easily claim the money without providing the necessary legal requirements. It seems his desperation led to a misguided belief that exhuming the body would help, when in fact the bank is legally obliged to withhold the funds until all potential claims are resolved and the rightful claimants are confirmed.

@Shavkat, I'm just curious how he was able to just dig out. I know you can't just dig the corpse without prior permission. I understand that you cannot simply dig up the corpse without first obtaining permission.

@rsa101 I am not sure how he did it. The details were not given fully. It is a big NO in our country if they did that.

I agree. He was able to claim it. The sad part is this man's literacy was not able to comprehend the proper process of claiming the money at first. Luckily, the authorities were able to guide him.

It was claimed by some of our friends that it really happened. It is definitely not a good thing to experience this.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX You said it right. AI videos can be deceiving if we are not keen enough to notice the differences from reality.

If I were in his shoes, I would be so frustrated. In my view, the bankers need to assist him accordingly.

I agree. In my opinion, the bankers did not do their job effectively. If they just consider the literacy level of this man, it will not come to this kind of incident.

I don't know if that's a real story, either. If it is, then somebody at the bank failed to do their job and should be fired for that. The guy was already stressed out. He didn't need more stress on top of his sister passing away.

I think it was a legit one. I also agree that these people in the bank should be liable for this incident. There is nothing wrong with raising this kind of grievance case to the higher-ups.

Such a hassle and what if he brings the deceased body in the banks for a clear proof that would be quite a disaster. shrug The employee needs to undergo another training for customer relationship.

It was a good thing that it did not go with that kind of situation. I also think that these bankers need to have special training on how to handle this particular case.
