I am being held captive

Yes, that is right, I am being held captive by the phone.
The fiscal associate for my employment to be Bob's carer called me yesterday. There is a certain thing that is needed that they cannot get, without a letter from the IRS because he had it before.
The person who had to tell me this gave me a phone number, and step by step instructions. I was on the phone about an hour before getting a live person. Live person told me I had the wrong number. Gave me the right number and new step by step instructions.
I did not mind being on hold for an hour, because I knew eventually I would get through. This new phone number will not put me on hold. It tells me to hang up and try again later their volume is too high. Or I can call Monday, their next business day.
I cannot decide if I want to wait a short time or a long time between each attempt. Not sure which will be more effective.
When I was on hold I just had my phone near by and went on with my online business.
Redialing and punching this button for this and that one for that is annoying.
"myLot, take me away!!"

I hate being left on hold and hate having to call different numbers when nobody answers. That's what the neurologist's office does. They will either call back or you don't get to talk to them.

The whole situation got even worse. I may write about it, or I may not. I am mentally worn out by phone situations.

I may write more tomorrow because it got worse, nothing is resolved, and I will not be able to address it until Monday afternoon.

Being on hold is annoying. I like it when they call back at your designated number.

I would prefer to be put on hold or a chance to leave a call back number. Having to keep trying is annoying

I called about three times, then they said I would have a thirty to sixty minute wait and put me on hold. . . it ended up being two hours.

At least I could do some of my computer things while on hold.

Because of that and some other phone stuff I ended up on the bewildered spectrum.

I hate that. Sometimes I just punch 0 and hope to get a live person. I mean, it's all well and good to hear "If you know the person's extension, etc." but what if you DON'T know their extension? Or even who you need to talk to in the first place.

We are dealing with the United States Federal Government. That does not work. It gets even worse than usual.

Hubby cannot hear and understand on the phone and that is part of the problem.

Ugh. I hope this has all been resolved by now. It would be driving me crazy.

Annoying.
Hope you have better luck than me
