Have you ever "stolen" a Bible from a motel room?

OK, it's time to confess your sins. I love Matthew 25, and Matthew 6. I also love Isaiah 58.
But the fact is, most of my Bible reading has occurred in Bibles I have "pinched" from motel rooms around the Country.
California. Nevada. Utah. Iowa. Montana.
No Bible is safe from me.
"As you have treated the least of these, my brethren, so you have treated me."
Profound words.
Have you ever taken a Bible from a motel room?

The Gideons put the Bibles in the hotel rooms specifically for people to take if they want.

That's true
They do that here
So taking it is not theft

What? Why? Sure is funny, but are you even religious?

@TheHorse Mark Twain gave it away horsey like the reverse Christian person. I do not think I need to.

I knew they were free for the taking if someone wanted or needed a bible. I’ve never taken one, because I have my own. But I do think it’s a very nice thing for the Gideons to do.

No, I haven't... But the Bibles in the rooms are there for people to take. The maids will check and put a new Bible in the drawer if the drawer is empty when they go to clean the rooms.

No, I haven't. There used to be Gideon bibles in all the hotel/motel rooms but I don't think I've seen one recently.
