Sweet and savory, but it's a big no from me. Would you try these?

I like to cook, so I am always looking up ideas for new things, or for recipes that would use up some of the foods I have on hand. I see lots of ads on the recipes, for other recipes and ideas, too. Yesterday and today, there is one that is really trending. Something I never would have thought of, and honestly it sounds...yukky to me.
Oreo cookies, wrapped in a piece of uncooked bacon. Two recipes I read recommended using a smoker to cook these, and another recipe opted for using a regular grill. Either way, they just don't sound good. I am not a big Oreo fan, but the nutrition on these is bad...high in fat, sugar, and sodium. Maybe I am being too picky, but I don't think I could eat one.
Would you try a bacon wrapped Oreo?
Traeger smoked dessert idea: Sweet Oreo cookies wrapped in crispy pork bacon, smoked with a little bbq rub and bbq sauce on the pellet grill.

@MarieCoyle - They look horrible, California prunes wrapped with bacon and grilled are good.

That doesn't sound too bad. I might actually try that, as their are no Oreos involved.

I wouldn't make them, but if I saw one on a plate I might take a bite. I think it is the same principal as a hamburger using a donut for a bun. I might try it, but it would be a one and done.

I can understand trying new things, I generally enjoy doing that. I am not sure about a hamburger with a donut bun...it doesn't sound good to me.

@MarieCoyle I doubt I would try it actually..maybe like if it was cut into bites.

That sounds like carnival food, and that is a type of food I would not be tempted to try. I did have a small donut with icing and sprinkles of real bacon on it, and it was good for a few bites. That’s all I could do though; it’s definitely not something I could do every day.

I have had chicken liver wrapped in bacon once, it tasted pretty good. But I agree with you, Oreo cookies is a big no from me.

I love Oreos but that doesn't sound good at all

I didn’t think it sounded very enticing. But to some people, if something had any bacon in it or on it, they will eat it.

I might. I've made chocolate-covered bacon at home before

I do not like oreo cookies, and would never waste a slice or two of bacon on them.
While in the grocery store yesterday, I noticed that a package, which is less than a pound, of bacon is an even $10.
Now I know that bacon comes from pigs, but with the price of everything today, are pigs related to oil sands?
The price of both are outrageous.

Chocolate bacon. Huh. How would the cookie hold together and not crumble? I would probably take the gizmo apart and eat it separately. If you don't fry at the correct temp you're going to get a gunky mess.
