Got an email that my recent Spectrum (cable/Internet) bill is available. It said amount due $0. I found that odd. It’s supposed to say $80. I logged into my cable account and downloaded the statement to see what’s going on. On the statement I saw this:
IMPORTANT BILLING UPDATE: ENJOY A FREE MONTH OF SERVICE
Good News! Spectrum is providing you with a
credit for a free month of service as part of your
promotional offer. This credit was applied to
your current statement.
Wow! Did not expect that. Will gladly take it! I saved $80.

I gladly accept the discount. If I remember correctly, I think the first bill they credited me as well. That was when I opened the account.

At first, I thought it was a typo in the email.

I know the first statement I received after I got my service I did not have to pay. That was a promotion. This I guess is another promotion.

@Ineeddentures I don’t remember exactly when I started the service, but it was maybe around October of last year.

Just now
Wow! That's unusual for Spectrum. I quit them because they kept raising my rates. It was almost $300 a month!
