Back to square one and officially unemployed

Mylotter friends, I have an update for you. My career as a front end cashier at Acme in Stow Ohio had officially came to an end after seven months last night. As for that transfer, it had a 24-hour window to decide, and when I called the union this morning, it was too late. So I'm back to square one again, had filed for unemployment, and updated my resume a tiny bit. I've also called Lauri to let her know about the transfer offer expiration, and what else the union said--try Meijers and Giant Eagle. She told me, she can't help me, until she gets re-authorization from OOD again. When I called Raenell, she said she would expedite my case to a new counselor. It won't be her, but I should hear back by the end of next week and not a month like two years ago. Though I've done it twice with Danielle, I could try to ask for Hattie Larlham one more time and ask Lauri by name. As I wait, I'll be calling Giant Eagle tomorrow to talk to the manager, and wait until later to apply to Meijers online. I also will be calling Goodwill as well to see if they can rehire me as a cashier only, which is 50/50. If not, that's okay. I've gotten what I wanted to have cashier training toward the end last summer. If so, I'll be happy to see my friends again, even if it's under a new role. I'm not looking forward to doing Good Academy again. But I'l worry about it later. And I'll let Lauri know what they said too while I wait. I'l also resurrect my job leads list with past interview from last year with Lauri, (including the coffee shop interview from last year), and see if there are any openings also with Indeed and their website. It's the least I can do by being proactive, and doing self-care for the next couple of days and volunteer at the zoo and shelter in the meantime and between time. My brother wants me to check with Carole at oOD about if collecting unemployment will affect my social security. I think he's confused, since I used to have SSI/SSDI before my mother passed away 12 years ago, and had survivor's benefits. But I wanted to hear it from her to be sure and let him know. Since my schedule is a bit freer than before, I'll be a bit more active here and might reconsider some Upwork assignments, when I feel like it in the meantime. This is a newer normal for me than last fall when I changed jobs. I'll pop back on here on my new laptop I purchased this past weekend tomorrow afternoon. I'll set it up tomorrow afternoon. See you then.
