Gas prices finally break the $6.00 mark at my discount gas station.

It happened a couple of days ago. The price of Regular, which had risen to $5.92/gallon, exceed $6/gallon at my local discount gas station. Fortunately, good steak is holding steady at $30/lb at my grocery store, and a12-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer is still about $11 at both Safeway and my gas station. Are prices leveling out where you live? Or are they continuing to rise?

It got to $5 a gallon in Bloomington, Indiana when I was there before the Derby, while it was $4.19 here with a “price gouging big event” going on. So I came back to Kentucky. Indiana can keep their high prices.

The last time I filled up (last week) on gasoline it was $3.94 a gallon. That’s high for us.

@AmbiePam I wonder what it is in Montana. It's usually way cheaper than CA when I get up there.

The Government has lowered the taxes on the gas at the pump to help people. For the moment prices are levelling, but if Trump insists on bombing Iran will go up again.

It is still odd to me that one madman, trying to hide his dark past, can harm the lives of humans around the world.

@TheHorse - It takes no take to create damages and years to fix the damages.

@LadyDuck It appears he does not have much left in the tank. But how long will it take to undo the damage he has done?

Last time I looked they were at 4.23...but new prices frequently come out on Thursday so they could be more.

@TheHorse It is 4.25 up two cents since last week, at the station I checked. People will do what they have to do. As for me, I will simply drive less. Everything I need is within a half hour, and the grocery store is about 15 so no huge issue.

Let us know. I can absorb the price increases. I think I have three retirement funds. But many Americans cannot.

Gas here was stuck on $4.99 for nearly a week. A friend says the station she lives close to is $5.09 today. I am going to be driving past the one place I know of that is generally a bit less than the other ones, if it's less I will add to this comment...but around $5 seems to be where we are stuck.

Our gas price is cresting just below $4.00. Hard to afford all of these out of town appointments.

Damn that is cheaper than here I have not checked Gas Buddy though. Cirkle K was 6.03 76 apparently replaced our chevron. They were 5.99 No wonder prices were lower last time when I drove by. . They actually had a deal get a car wash and it is 5.79 a gallon. I have not seen a deal about gas like that since I was a kid.

In some countries, there is rationing of gas and long queues at the pumps. The prices have gone up and with that the general cost of stuff that people cannot avoid. It is said even if the issue is settled, it will take a long time to recover.
