Gas prices finally break the $6.00 mark at my discount gas station.

It happened a couple of days ago. The price of Regular, which had risen to $5.92/gallon, exceed $6/gallon at my local discount gas station.
Fortunately, good steak is holding steady at $30/lb at my grocery store, and a12-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer is still about $11 at both Safeway and my gas station.
Are prices leveling out where you live? Or are they continuing to rise?

It got to $5 a gallon in Bloomington, Indiana when I was there before the Derby, while it was $4.19 here with a “price gouging big event” going on. So I came back to Kentucky. Indiana can keep their high prices.

Last time I looked they were at 4.23...but new prices frequently come out on Thursday so they could be more.

@TheHorse It is 4.25 up two cents since last week, at the station I checked. People will do what they have to do. As for me, I will simply drive less. Everything I need is within a half hour, and the grocery store is about 15 so no huge issue.

That’s terrible! I’m in the Caribbean right now so I don’t know what’s going on at home

Gas here was stuck on $4.99 for nearly a week. A friend says the station she lives close to is $5.09 today. I am going to be driving past the one place I know of that is generally a bit less than the other ones, if it's less I will add to this comment...but around $5 seems to be where we are stuck.
