Containers at a coin fair

We went to a coin fair yesterday and the photo shows part of one of the stands. These were placed round the sides of quite a loarge hall as well as in the middle as well. I thought this photo would be interesting as it shows a variety of cheese and margarine containers that the stall-holder uses for his various coin groupings. I’m not laughing at him/her/them as I use margarine containers for all sorts of things. Another stall had some of their coins stored in a very nice blue box which had once held kitty litter crystals.

It's good to reuse those containers.

The containers that they used are what the majority of us can relate to. We all have favorites that we use over and over again. And based on how long it takes for plastic to break down, we should be reusing those containers.

Our coins are stored in plastic sheets similar to those where stamps are stored. A few are inside their own small box. I should take them out and take photos.

A container that used to hold kitty litter crystals is quite the thought! I’m sure at this point it’s been cleaned, but I wouldn’t have thought to save it.

I keep a lot of my coins in the small Ziploc baggies and then store the baggies in the smallest Tupperware containers. When I was a pre-teen, Dad made a coin bank for me from one of his Poligrip (denture cream) containers. I still have it and use it... It's almost full of pennies (1 cent US pieces). Some of them are supposed to be worth quite a bit of money.
