Is the pool going to open this year?

That is the big question around here these days. When I first moved here 7 years ago it was both open all summer and free to use. Then COVID had it closed as well as a year when they couldn't get lifeguards. After that they started charging us $50 per resident for pool passes despite the fact that the use of the pool is in the lease agreement. Whatever. I just pay it because with the summer off I certainly get plenty of use out of it. Well next weekend is Memorial Day weekend which is when the pool typically opens. There has been no word from the management office at all about it which is not a good sign since they start selling the passes like 2 weeks in advance. Ugh. I have places to go--my sister's house, my aunt's, and my good friend's. Still it is a lot more convenient to just walk the 2 minutes over the way to the pool that is here.

I should ask about it if you know who to call, especially as you are paying ( extra ) for it.

I’ve been wondering about this myself. If things aren’t looking good, me and Jimbo will start a GoFundMe page to get you in there.

I still can’t believe they charge you to use it when it’s in the lease agreement. I know you can afford it, but still…I sure hope they have it open this year. One of us deserves to have an open pool, and my place is too cheap to fix the pool equipment.

I hope that the swimming pool where you live will be open this summer.

Legally, if it’s in the lease agreement they cannot charge you. That would make me furious. Yes,if it’s not going to open it would be good if they at least told you. Even though it’s not as convenient, I am glad you have other options.

Hopefully they'll be issuing passes soon. I know you love the pool.

I would be calling the office. I hope it opens Memorial Day weekend.
