For free?

You may remember some of my neighbors took down a big cedar tree that had splintered out due to heavy winds. They had left the bigger pieces until a later date. That date had not yet come for them to split it and remove the rest. I could not complain. They did all of that work for free. You might remember I found a youngish guy who would mow my yard, for what I had budgeted, even though it was very high, and a mess. He messaged me on Facebook. He wanted to cut it again, for free! To make sure that it did not get too high again. Of course I said "yes" and asked him if he wanted the remains of the cedar. We had talked about it before. He said he would take it, for free!! He heats his home with wood, I believe. I did offer to pay him, though. I will have him cut my back yard as needed about every two weeks this summer. That is a relief. We did leave the stump waist high, and I have put plants on top of it. So what have you gotten for free this week?
