in the sounds of springtime I hear someone outside mowing the grass. It is a little early. Usually you hear that sound later morning or early afternoon here. I just had a small piece of the banana bread I made last night.I used almond flour. And added walnuts You could use any kind of sweetener in it so I opted for a brown sugar substitute. The bread is not as sweet as banana bread usually is, but I think overall is probably healthier with fewer carbs. Have you tweaked any recipes lately?

@snowy22315 - Very good, we try to eat more vegetables and no meat.

@LadyDuck You need some protein though. Are you having beans and cheese and so forth?

That sounds interesting. The trouble with stuff like homemade lasagnas is buying all the ingredients can be costly. I have been wanting moussaka lately

@snowy22315 It was about 30 bucks total but I fed all five of us so it was worth it

I love banana bread and your tweeks sound like a good substitute even if it's not quite as sweet. Overall I think it is probably healthier so you can eat it without feeling guilty
I'm always looking for ways to enjoy my favorite foods by making some substitutions and cut back on calories and carbs.
I've been enjoying Premiere Protein waffles for breakfast and switched from regular maple syrup to a sugar free one.

I can't even remember the last time I cooked something and I seldom use recipes - I just wing it.

I use them as a guide..I rarely adhere to them exactly, unless it is really something I am invested in like the apple chai bread I made last year but the results were worth it.

They say you can get away with one third less sugar and not miss it.

Gosh, it is really quite simple. Get a recipe and try it out.
