THE APOCALYPSE IS UPON US!!!!

Note: that’s only applicable for Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
But it will seem bad. I have no doubt that it will be bad. We can’t drive well on sunny days.
Starting Monday, the one interstate highway that goes north/south to (and through) downtown Louisville will be closed. For two months.
Talk about a benefit of being retired!?!?! Ouch!
The signs are up all over town about how the interstate will be closed starting Monday, and follow the detours. I might have to forego eating at Chuy’s for a couple of months because it’s on the other side of town, and the way I get there is the detour route.
So, if Lou or I disappear for three days there’s nothing wrong, we’re just stuck in traffic on the Watterson Expressway.
Monday a dual countdown starts in honor of Sir Paul McCartney’s 84th birthday on June 18. Some of you might think that’s apocalyptic, too, depending on your opinion of Sir Paul and the songs I pick.
Meanwhile, enjoy a photo of the creek in Chimneys picnic area in the Smokies, where traffic jams are causes by bears or elk crossing the road.

I'm sure you'll survive it. The retired life is great.

I have another appointment later in the month, then I might just have to leave town for the rest of the construction project.

I know. Plus, I’ve driven in rush hour traffic in Atlanta and Chicago, so no big deal.

Just now
I am looking forward to your next music series for sure, I am watching retuns of old Hollywood Squares and very impressed that many of the stars are still around in theri 70s and 80s. Since Sally Field is around I would like to see a new series about what happened to Gidget when she grew up,

Can you just see rush hour on a Monday morning? It's going to be horrible. Chuy's will have to shut down without you there.
Nice photo.

Welcome to interstate construction, guaranteed to take twice as long as predicted!! Just tons of fun…not!
I’ve driven on that interstate many times, I prefer being the passenger because I always enjoyed seeing Louisville.

Ugh, road closures...always inconvenient. See ya, when we see ya. Might be a good time to blow town.
