It's hot. 80 degrees so far. Ugh! So we are having cottage cheese, raspberries, black berries, and some chicken. Then later we'll have some ice cream. Cookies and Cream. My daughter has lost 10 lbs. This last month. I wish I could lose some. She walks a lot. How's your weather? Any good meals in your immediate future?

It's getting warmer, I bet in a few weeks we will be swimming in the lake. I hope to have macaroni and cheese in the next few days, I love it when it is mixed with chicken or ground beef, and lately my favorite dessert has been strawberries with whipped cream, though lately I've been buying cookie dough frozen yogurt bars. You can't even tell the difference between it and ice cream sometimes, and frozen yogurt is known for being a little healthier. I also hope to eat more fish this summer.

Oh yes, fish is always high on my list. Trout and salmon. I used to eat a lot of frozen yogurt. Have really gotten tired of Mac and cheese but have been enjoying goulash. Enjoy the lake.

It was lovely today. I had lunch at Chuy’s then went for a walk to the nearby mall. I had a concoction of rice, broccoli, and chunky Ragu pasta sauce for dinner tonight. There will be no good meal tomorrow for lunch, because I’ll be at the VA for three appointments.

We used to go walk at the mall here. It's gone downhill so much over the last few years, there are hardly any good stores left. Three appointments, huh? Doesn't sound fun at all. I hope you get positive feedback.

@celticeagle — I need a filling rebuilt, and the dermatologist removed a cyst. The worst thing was having to eat lunch at the VA canteen.

Losing weight is a balancing act. I have trouble balancing how many calories I take in versus how much exercise I can do- walking is no longer a given for me. I realized again today how I need carbs to feel full. We were mostly out of bread and I thought about going to the store. No way could I go out with an empty stomach- I am not clear headed for driving when I have need of food. I found some crusts and made a cheese sandwich then headed out.

About all the walking I get is from my bedroom to the bathroom.

@celticeagle Sometimes I walk up and down our passage. It's 50 steps up and back. I might fold the laundry which is one end of the house then take undies, hankies, etc etc one by one to the bedroom at the other end. At least I get a few hundred steps in that way.
