There is a little alcove in the clubhouse of our retirement village. It’s now being used as a showcase for individuals to display their crafts. So far, an artist has displayed some of her paintings and another has filled the space with some wonderful knitted and crocheted items.
The latest exhibition has been staged by a woodworker who does the most wonderful pieces. Some are made on a lathe; some are carved I think. I’ll put up more of his work in future discussions when I don’t have a relevant photo.

The 'backstories' of the residents here, like those of @FourWalls' musicians, are so interesting.

I really enjoy what woodworkers can do with wood. Merging different types together is so pleasing to the eye. Mine anyway.

That is so cool for them to celebrate the artistry of the residents! We have no idea how many true talents are out there because they never get noticed beyond their neighborhood or town. Good for the village to do that!!!
