Have You Ever Smelled The Earth?

The first place which I have stayed during my vacation back in June last year was just like a private residence surrounded by green scenic mountain range. Though the place is started to progress but it's away from any noise of big trucks and any vehicles during the day and night. I was there for one day and one night. I was with my best friend who just came home from working abroad. We simply talked about life and all what's happening to us. We simple live for the moment, no work to think about. The day before we leave the place. She had her time to sleep, just sleep and I never wake her up because that's what she needed. While me, I get up early to fully own the place. There's only a few guest who stayed the night who are still asleep too. Only one or two staff walking and a gardener I've seen when I stroll except those guest and staff who are in the dining area. The photo attached was the few things I have captured during my stroll. The garden and flowers infront of our room is where I first take my time to smell and touch it. The red rose feel so refreshed, I photograph it as well. The center photo is my view at that time I seated in that blue concrete staircase for an hour, alone. The cold breeze feels refreshing and even feels warm. The lush mountains give off an earthy scent after the rain which I thoroughly enjoy breathing in. Have you ever smelled the earth? Yes, every now and then. I do it. Every morning after it has rained throughout the night until dawn.

yeah! Philippines does have some hidden gem but sometimes it's over populated during holidays. Glad it wasn't that time.

This looks like a beautiful place where to stay. I like to smell the earth, particularly after a thunderstorm.

@Jehanne - I am sure that fewer guests make the place more peaceful and enjoyable.

I smelled it more often when I would go outside early in the morning after a storm... I rarely go outside anymore.

@Jehanne It is summer here. I rarely go outside because Pretty is worried that I'll fall and get hurt again.
